It’s that time of year again… the time where you should be taking a look at your books to ensure they are in order for year end. Closing out the year will be a lot easier if you complete some simple but necessary tasks such as verifying that the petty cash amount listed, is the actual amount of petty cash that you have on hand. or also check that the sales tax liability balance on the balance sheet actually matches the amount still due. QuickBooks 2012 New Features: Lead Center, Global To-Dos, & Calendar View

With all of the new features of QuickBooks 2012 we wanted to highlight three that have have been much requested features in the past, and will help many to organize their accounting and sales processes. The first is the Lead Center which is perfect for those who don’t need a full CRM package, but still need help keeping track of potential customers. The second is the Global To-Dos which has been updated with four new fields to categorize and relate to-do information to QuickBooks lists and transactions. The third is the Calendar View that gives you a summary of transactions and to-do items that occur in the past or future in a calendar view. Each year Intuit releases updated versions of the QuickBooks line of products. This article gives our opinion on who should upgrade, discusses the new features you may want to stay away from, and highlights those features that you’ll definitely want to check out as soon as possible. The article focuses on Intuit QuickBooks Enterprise, QuickBooks Premier, and QuickBooks Pro.
